Nancy Spencer is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She earned her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. Prior to graduating from nurse practitioner school, Nancy served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant in the Nurse Corps. She was inspired to continue her education after working with HIV/AIDS patients in the community and has worked in interventional radiology since 1998.
Nancy is particularly interested in vascular access, including dialysis access, apheresis access, and pediatrics. What she loves most about her job is the diversity her role offers, allowing her to perform procedures, admit and manage patients, see patients in an office setting, and provide innovative technologies in her work. Every day is different, challenging, and rewarding.
When not working or at home caring for her elderly parent, Nancy enjoys volunteering at her church with several programs, including a program that offers free clothing to community members in need and a monthly brunch program. She also leads a department book club and loves to cook!
